International Brahmins Cuisine Day - IBCD

All of you are aware of that Aaharam has started celebrating International Brahmins Cuisine Day - IBCD, which has been liked and followed by many of our brahmins in many group, with a unique profile picture on the day. On this day, we aaharians and all other brahmins in India and in abroad, celebrate with only Autherntic / Traditional cuisines especially with No-Onion and No-Garlic Recipes.....
IBCD is always celebrated on Nov-01 every year with a day to earmark our Traditional cuisines / Recipes to reach the nook and corner of the world and to recognise our systems and traditions which. on one day would rock the entire World with our cuisines, and also to celebrate a Unique day for our brahmins.... With your united support, we shall rock this day with our Unique Picture in our timeline and as our Profile Picture and make traditional recipes / cuisines at home and serve our beloved family and friends and show we are UNITED at all times...

Methi Puri - மெத்தி பூரி

Take 200 gms of Atta, add salt, 1/2 tsp of Turmeric Powder, 3/4 tsp of Aaharam's Special Red Chilly Powder, 1/2 tsp of Garam Masala Powder, 1/2 glass Hot Milk, 3 tsp of Kasuri Methi mix well to dough and roll on puris. Deep fry in oil and serve Hot with Onion-Tomato Masala
A rich / nutritious / Healthy morning breakfast

Breakfast Recipe | No-Onion No-Garlic | Traditional South Indian
Soai 250 gms Boiled rice for 3 hours. Strain water and grind to fine and thick paste along with required salt. In a Kadai add oil, temper mustard seeds, curry leaves, Urud Dal and Channa dal, add 3 nos of cut Red chilly, 1 tsp of Aaharam Asafoetida saute well. Add grated coconut 2 handful and add the grinded flour and saute well continuously until water evaporates and becomes like Rice Upma. Remove from flame and make it to balls of your choice and steam boil for 10 mins in Idly Cooker.
Your special / traditional / tasty Boiled Rice Pidi Kozhukattai is ready

No Onion - No Garlic Recipe
Peel 1/2 kg Peerkangai skin, chop to 1 inch cubes. In a bowl, add chopped kai, turmeric powder, 1 green chilly and bring to boil. Remove water, allow to cool and mash it and keep ready. In a kadai add oil, temper mustard seed, curry leaves and finely chopped shallots (optional) and pour tamarind water, and bring to boil until raw smell goes. Now add the mashed veggie, chilly powder, dhania powder, pepper powder and jeera powder, required salt and mix well. Bring to boil and remove from flame. Serve hot with dosa / Idly / Pongal / Rice of your choice. Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves.
