Ingredients  (around 8-10 pakodas can be made)
Vaazhakkai  One (Grated)
Kadalai Maavu (Besan) .. 2-3 Tables Spoon
Red Chilli Powder Little.. (say half teaspoon)
Salt to taste
Asafoetida as required

For Gravy
Tomatoes .. Medium size .. 4 nos..
Ginger .. grated..
Red Chillies (Milagi Vathal) .. 5-6
Coriander seeds .. 1 teaspoon ..

For Tempering ..
Refined Oil/Olive Oil (whichever suits)
Jeera

Method  : Take grated Vaazhakkai, Salt, Besan, Red chilli powder & heeng .. mix all to make pakodas. Heat Oil .. put the pakodas.. fry till its golden brown and remove and put it in a tissue paper so that the oil is soaked.
For Gravy ... Cut the tomatoes, add ginger, red chillies, coriander seeds and grind them to a fine paste.

In a kadai .. add 2 teaspoon oil, jeera and saute it. Once jeera becomes brown, add the grinded tomato paste and fry for some time, add some salt to it. Once the oil starts leaving in the sides of the kadai, add some water and let it boil. The liquid consistency should not be thin. After it starts to boil, in 5 mins, add the pakodas and leave it for about 10 more minutes. Switch off the gas. Top it with coriander leaves. In the given picture, I added little cream to give a nice look.. (its optional)

PS.. In case if the pakodas become hard.. put them in hot water for some time and remove them. It will become soft.
