Vegetable Rasam

Take 1 cup tamarind water, add salt, turmeric powder, hing, curry leaves and allow to boil. After 3 mins add 1 heaped tsp of rasam powder, cut tomatoes and boil again for few mins. Now add the boiled pureed vegetables. When froth switch off gas. Make tadka in ghee with mustard, curry leaves, red chilly. Garnish with coriander leaves. Can add a tsp of cooked toor dhal too. (Optional) 

For veg puree ...cook 2 rounds of carrot, 2 beans, 1 leaf cabbage, 1 flower of cauliflower, 1/4 potato. I keep all these on top of rice in pc, later puree in mixie to smooth. 

Can be had as soup, or with rice too.
