Keerai Puli Koottu

Keerai ( I hv chosen arai keerai) 1 bunch
Toor dhall 1/2 cup
Moong dhall 1/2 cup
Tamarind 1 lemon size ball 
Onion 1
Tomato 1
Sambar powder 3 tsp
Salt to taste.
Curry leaves
For seasoning
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Channa dhall 1 tsp
Orid dhall 1 tsp
Methi 1/2tsp
Oil 2 tsp
Soak tamarid in warm water, extract thick juice
Cut onion finely
Cut tomato finely
Cook both the dhall 
Wash and cut keerai finely.

Preparation Method : 
In a hot pan, pour oil, add mustard seeds, after it splutters, add channa dhall, orid dhall, methi, curry leaves, after the dhall becomes golden brown, add onion, saute well, till it becomes brown, now add tomatoes, after they blend, add little water and keerai. Donot cover with lid. Cook open.  After the keerai is half cooked, add tamarind extract,sambar powder, salt and let it cook for 5 min, then mash the dhall together and add.  Let it blend together, cook for 3 min. Add a tsp of ghee at last. Its optional.  Keerai puli kootu is ready.
